Onto Day 5! They must have me on the housing committee because I’ve been building houses day to day. I am going to be a professional by the end of this trip! I still am a klutz, though. I was lifting some really heavy cinder blocks and I kept dropping them on my feet. Thank goodness these Wolverine boots have a steel toe, otherwise I’d have some broken feet.
At the end of the workday, everyone was complaining about their feet hurting. I told them that they should purchase a pair of Wolverine boots and make sure they hit 100 hours of volunteer hours by March 31st, 2012 so they can get the boots I have. I can’t wait to see how these hold up on the next Habitat for Humanity trip.
